Thank you for your interest in volunteering with the Emerald Coast Theatre Company! Our volunteers are a vital force, and we are so grateful for the time, effort, and energy our volunteers give each season.

There are always plenty of ways you can help us throughout the season! From set building and painting, to handing out and mailing flyers, to ushering at our productions, there is always something that can be done here. The best way to get involved is by filling out our ECTC Volunteer Sign Up Sheet. Let us know what opportunities interest you by completing the form and we will get you plugged in!

ECTC’s Leading Ladies

“Leading Ladies” is the brainchild of Miramar Beach resident Sherry Londe, a six-year board member of ECTC. Because of her tireless amounts of enthusiasm and energy, Londe heard numerous times from ECTC Artistic Producing Director Nathanael Fisher and fellow board members that she should be “cloned”. Londe has sought to do just that!

Londe started with a core group of three women with a passion for theater who were willing to be ambassadors for ECTC, and she now has a growing list of 28 active members who meet on a monthly basis.

The “Leading Ladies” introduce new audience members to ECTC’s adult performances and ECTC’s performances for young audiences. They get the word out about youth classes throughout the school year and summer camp programs. They contact their inner circles of business owners to let them know about ECTC’s sponsorship possibilities and bring an ever-widening group of friends to events and performances. No matter what the event at ECTC, the “Ladies” are working diligently behind the scenes.

As a longtime board member, Londe emphasizes the importance of ECTC’s reach in the area. “We have a very busy full-time job working on the ECTC board. It became clear to me that in order to do my part, I needed to find folks with the time to help get tasks done. With the ‘Ladies’, I feel I am leading a group of leaders. Each of them has a positive attitude and piles of energy to commit and help reach new areas of the local community. Members Kay Gerth and Sharon Morrow are a consistent presence at Snowbird and Condo and Senior Community events. Ellen Levinton has stepped in to head our ECTC volunteers and assists in some of the technical tasks needed to run our shows. Sharon Morrow has assisted in grant writing proposals. Jan Wallace has taken on much of the backstage costume and prop organization. At our monthly meetings, we all like to brainstorm about new and creative ways to move forward.”

Each meeting is set by a timer to not take up more than an hour once a month. Those interested in learning more about becoming involved in the Leading Ladies for ECTC can do so by filling out our ECTC Volunteer Sign Up Sheet or by contacting Anna Fisher at anna@emeraldcoasttheatre.org.
