Hi! I'm Desirée! First and foremost, I am a photographer. Somehow I'm one of those lucky people that got to be what I wanted when I grow up. I was just a kid with a disposable camera... and well, here we are now! And, I still shoot film! Most days you can find me with a 35mm Nikon and a medium format Pentax. Many of the images you see in my portfolio are actually shot on film, which is truly a timeless medium. The kids these days call what I do ‘hybrid,’ a mix of the convenience of digital and the timelessness of film.

For more than half of my life, photography has been the greatest source of joy, expression, and accomplishment I've experienced. I'm influenced most by nature, adventure, and the human condition to seek and form connections. 

Other than photography, I'm pretty into my dogs, sunsets, traveling to new places, visiting my favorite places, audiobooks, camping, and exceptionally good coffee. 

I split my time between the Florida Panhandle and the Washington DC area, and frequently shoot in locations all across the US- wherever my people are. With travel as easy as it is these days, I am available most places, and have been lucky to shoot from coast to coast in the USA, as well as half a dozen other countries.
