Field Trips & TYA PRODUCTIONS
Since its inception, ECTC has offered Theatre for Young Audiences (TYA) through partnerships with Grand Boulevard at Sandestin, the Cultural Arts Alliance of Walton County, and the St. Joe Community Foundation. TYA is theatre performances specifically designed for the children of our community. Over 8,600 students have experienced field trips or TYA programs with ECTC. Our world is one of electronic distractions. Theatre provides our children with an unplugged experience where they are in the presence of artists creating relatable, real world art right in front of them. In a study by researchers in the University of Arkansas Department of Education Reform they found that “field trips to live theater enhance literary knowledge, tolerance and empathy among students.” Each field trip experience at ECTC includes educational enhancement activities for the classroom and can include a post show Q&A with the actors if time permits.

Paul Londe Education & Scholarship Fund
Paul Londe believed each person could make a difference. He was a dreamer, an exceptional listener and wished the best ideas to prevail no matter the source. He was always there to lend a helping hand and anything he demanded of others, Londe would be first in line to take on himself if he had the time. He was convinced that improvisational skills were necessary for a life well lived. Leading by example, he believed that teaching and developing creative thinking in young people would guarantee us all a better future. He was kind, generous and optimistic. When good-byes were said for adventures near and far, there was always a hug and a smile.
The Paul Londe Scholarship and Educational Fund will enable Emerald Coast Theatre Company to offer classes and production opportunities to more children in Okaloosa, Walton and Bay Counties.
Thank you to Sherry Londe for starting this fund with a generous donation.

The Beth Campbell-Work Scholarship
