Nonie’s Ark Animal Encounters is a local program that involves small live animals as a means of education to people of all ages. Its sole proprietor is Nonie C. Maines, a local educator and animal enthusiast. One of the goals of animal education is to teach about how that species lives in its environment, how it uses its adaptations and how we can protect and conserve them.
