Pediatric outpatient therapy services
The Neonatal Developmental Follow-up Clinic monitors and promotes the development of at-risk children, including children born prematurely.

The pediatric team provides therapy for:
Autism
Brachial plexus (spinal nerve) injuries
Cerebral palsy
Developmental delay
Down syndrome
Hypertonia (excess tightness of muscle tone)
Hypotonia (decreased muscle tone)
Torticollis (a spinal muscular disorder caused the head to tilt down)
Plagiocephaly (a condition causing the baby's head to have a flattened appearance)
Sensory processing disorders
Prematurity
Neonatal conditions we treat
Our neonatal specialists treat the following conditions in newborns:

A low birth weight
An identified condition that may lead to a developmental delay

Special care needs during the newborn period
Neonatal rehabilitation services
We offer pediatric outpatient therapy services at the Rehabilitation Center. Our team provides developmental assessments, speech therapy, occupational therapy and physical therapy.

Activities and exercises to promote development
Care coordination to provide family support and help accessing community services
Developmental screening and assessment at critical intervals throughout infancy and toddlerhood
Education regarding developmental milestones or stages
Screening assessments and treatments individualized to meet the specific needs of the child and family
Pediatric occupational therapy
Our occupational therapists strive to promote a child's successful participation in activities of daily living. Pediatric occupational therapists use play-based therapies for:

Sensory integration
Visual-motor coordination
Visual-perceptual skills
Vestibular and proprioceptive input
Strengthening and mobility are also addressed as they relate to play and the manipulation of tools for eating and school readiness. Environmental modifications are recommended for optimal engagement in eating, sleeping and play. Parent education and home programs are provided to help you include therapies into your daily routines.

Pediatric physical therapy
Our physical therapists strive to help children develop gross motor skills to independently and safely move and participate in their environment.

Pediatric physical therapy promotes strength, function, movement, improved range of motion, improved balance and functional independence at the highest level possible. We provide play-based therapy and parent education to maximize each child's abilities.

Pediatric speech therapy
Our speech-language pathologists offer a broad spectrum of services focusing on parent/caregiver education and engaging activities for the child.

Pediatric speech-language pathology promotes intensive education and intervention targeting swallowing, appropriate attachment, social interaction, play, language comprehension and language expression for children 3 years old and younger.
