Destin Fire Control District Junior Lifeguard Program

The Destin Junior Lifeguard Program offers youth ages 9 through 15 an opportunity to participate in a six-week summer adventure that introduces a wide range of valuable skills. The program emphasizes water safety education, lifesaving techniques, and physical fitness in a fun and engaging environment where participants build confidence and strength daily. Participants also gain hands-on experience with basic first aid and CPR concepts, along with learning about marine life, rip current awareness, and overall beach safety.

Swim Test Required for Eligibility to Participate

Swim Test Dates (swim tests will ONLY be conducted on these dates)
March 28th – 10:00 a.m.
March 29th – 1:00 p.m.
April 4th – 10:00 a.m.
Destin Aquatic Center – 4345 Commons Drive West, Destin, FL 32541

Program dates and times are as follows:
June 8, 2026 to July 23, 2026 (Monday thru Thursday 8 am to 12pm)
No session week of July 4th
