University Academy (UA) is a free, public, K through 8th Grade charter academy located at SweetBay in Panama City, Florida. University Academy ranks in the Top 10 Percent of public schools in Florida. University Academy also offers preschool opportunities for students and families. University Academy emphasizes innovation in programming and instruction, building on the promise of charter schools to develop new educational opportunities. UA is committed to a research-based approach that includes instruction to meet the unique needs of each learner.

The mission of University Academy is to establish a research-based community that learns, leads and lasts. University Academy will offer an environment that emphasizes innovative teaching and learning in order to maximize academic achievement for all students and to promote high expectations for the school community to become responsible, productive, lifelong learners.
