Kids Cottage at the Gulf Enrichment Home

My name is Brandy Thibault. I have been providing childcare in my home for 25 years. I am a registered in home daycare with the state of Florida and will also be offering twice per month, Friday night sleep over parties for kids ages 1-16. Kids have always been my passion and I am great with them. I love to teach them and do so during the school year with a credited on line preschool program. We do preschool 3 times per week. We are outside(weather permitting) a lot. I believe it is more important that the kids in my care l(1-4 years old) are loved and know my home is a safe place for them. I believe in having fun and being silly. I believe in teaching them age appropriate things but not stressing if they cannot write their name by the time they leave my home, etc. they have plenty of time to learn those things. I do not have the tv on unless it’s raining and we are having movie day or if it’s early in the morning and I only have a few kids here. I love music and we do a lot of dance parties. I also turn on classical music at times while they are eating lunch. I do not provide their food but ask that the foods your kids eat here is on the healthier side. I do not allow cookies and candy to be brought to my home unless we are celebrating a birthday. On your child’s birthday, I provide the ballon and candles and just ask that you bring the cake and/or cookies. Toys from home are not permitted in my home. I am also a huge huge animal lover and have dogs, cats, and chickens. My dogs love the kids and are protective over them. I also in turn teach the kids to respect them. If you are not an animal lover or are allergic, I am not the right childcare for you. I potty train the kids every spring and will let you know if I believe your child is ready to be potty trained. We spend a week potty training. I do my waitlist a little different then everyone else. I would rather have only a couple of kids at a time on my waitlist then to have a bunch. In order to get on my waitlist, you will pay a two week deposit that will eventually go to the last two weeks your child is in my care. The deposit is non refundable. Every child is to bring a large box of wipes to me every 6 months or so. Diapers/pull ups will be brought every other Friday on payday. Payday is every two weeks on Friday mornings. Due by noon. I am first aid and CPR certified and have my CNA license as well. I am very clean and organized as I have to be and sanitize the toys every weekend. I will post all closed holidays and days in this group so you have the days for the year that I will not be open. If Walton county closes school due to bad weather, I will be closed as well. Santa Claus comes every year as well as the Easter bunny to my home. We do a Halloween party as well. Your children while in my care is my most important job!
