This is a 3.42 acre park. The park includes an accessible beach area, boardwalk, playground, bathrooms, a splash pad, pavilions, dock, and paddle board/kayak launch. The park is also home to a heron rookery along with educational signage highlighting over 150 years of history and natural features of the park.
The pavilion is available for rental to private organizations and individuals by calling the Community Center.
If you plan to spend the day out on the water and will be launching kayaks and paddle boards from Captain Leonard Destin Park please use the designated loading/unloading area. Keep in mind that parking is limited to all park patrons and encourage those who will be out on the water for several hours to utilize the Zerbe/Calhoun City Parking Lot located off Calhoun. Thank you in advance for your help and being a good neighbor.
