Panama City Beach Parks and Recreation

Panama City Beach Aquatic Center provides a year-round schedule of Red Cross Certification classes both scheduled and by request, based on availability. Participant limits vary depending on instructor availability and community demand. Most classes offer a blended format of online content, in-person training, and performance assessments. Class closing dates are non-negotiable to ensure each participant has enough time to complete applicable online portions prior to the first in-water training day. Payment in full is required at the time of registration.

Register for classes by calling the Aquatic Center office at (850) 236-2205. Transferring from one class to another in the same calendar year is okay with 7 days advance notice of your originally scheduled class and availability. There are NO REFUNDS in the event a participant cancels a reservation or fails to complete a course(s) successfully.

Panama City Beach Aquatic Center requires that our lifeguard team maintain a current Lifeguard Certification during the term of their employment; however, our certification classes are available to everyone. If you are interested in becoming part of our incredible Team of Lifeguards, Swim Instructors, and support staff, ask a member of the Leadership Team for available opportunities!
