1/11: Science Escape Room: Solar System
REGISTRATION FEE: $20
RECOMMENDED GRADES: 3-5
Students will compete in teams to solve a string of solar system related science questions and clues and decode different ciphers to escape the NERD Lab.
1/18: TINY TOTS: Intro to Robotics
REGISTRATION FEE: $20
RECOMMENDED GRADES: VPK-2
Students will receive an introduction to robotics using the Sphero BOLT robot. Programming is through a drawing interface - no reading or writing is required.
2/1: TINY TOTS: Fake Snow Lab
REGISTRATION FEE: $20
RECOMMENDED GRADES: VPK-2
Students will create fake snow using different formulations and test to determine which formula makes the most realistic "snow".
2/8: Forensics Science: Murder Mystery
REGISTRATION FEE: $20
RECOMMENDED GRADES: 6-9
Students will use science, math, critical thinking, and deductive reasoning to solve a murder mystery.
2/22: Engineers Week: Ball Launcher and Catcher Challenge
REGISTRATION FEE: $20
RECOMMENDED GRADES: 4-8
Students will design, build, and test a ball launcher and catcher and comptete for best design using least amount of materials and system that launches and catches the ball furthest apart.
