The 37th Annual Thunderbird Intertribal Powwow will be November 7-9 at the Twin Oaks Park in Niceville. The event is open to the general public and attracts approximately 5,000 spectators. Southeastern Native American dancers, singers, and drummers toke port in the event. Native American Indian vendors feature items of authentic craftsmanship.
Children's Day is the first day of the powwow and is attended by local schools from Okaloosa, Santo Rosa, and Walton Counties. The children experience Native American dancing, drumming, storytelling and cultural exhibits.
