Fort Walton Beach Library Unearth a Story of Bones and Beasts with ECSC

Unearth a story of bones and beasts with the Emerald Coast Science Center! Students become paleontologists in this hands-on dig, excavating 3D-printed dinosaur bones buried in sand and exploring fossils to learn how rocks and fossils form. After days of digging and unearthing different bones, each student will reconstruct what they think the full animal looked like, using observation and scientific reasoning. To finish, they’ll create their own salt-dough fossil to take home as a keepsake. Dig, discover, assemble, and uncover the past!
