Discover the magic of wet-on-wet oil painting! Escape to the coast and create your own beautiful seascape painting in just two hours! In this beginner-friendly workshop, you'll learn the wet-on-wet oil painting technique, allowing you to build a complete painting in a single session. Working step-by-step with guided instruction, you'll explore techniques for creating dramatic skies, rolling waves, and coastal landscapes while gaining confidence with oil paints and canvas.
Whether you're picking up a paintbrush for the first time or simply looking for a relaxing creative experience, this workshop offers a fun, supportive environment where anyone can succeed. Leave with a finished painting and a newfound appreciation for the versatility and beauty of oil painting.
In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn how to:
-prepare a canvas for wet‑on‑wet painting
-build a seascape from background to foreground
-blend soft skies and clouds
-create depth and texture
-paint a majestic wave!
-finish a painting you’ll be proud to take home
Everything is provided. Just show up and create! Bring your curiosity, a willingness to explore, and a sense of fun. You’ll leave not only with a finished painting, but with new skills and the confidence to keep creating.
Ages: 12 & up. All supplies included. Be sure to dress appropriately for this class. You will be working with oil paints so there is the potential to get it on your clothes, shoes, etc.
