Sparkleberry Studio Mommy & Me Fall Sensory Art Experience in Point Washington

Something new for our littlest artists. On September 30, Sparkleberry is heading to Growing Green Families in Point Washington for a morning made just for ages 18 months–4 years and their grown-ups. And I have been dreaming up the sweetest little sensory art world for them to explore. We’ll have Color Play, Little Nature Artist, The Wild in Me and different sensory-rich spaces filled with beautiful fall color and pieces of the natural world. Pine needles become paintbrushes. Pinecones become rollers. Leaves become stamps. There will be color to mix, textures to discover, things to touch, roll, press and explore — and plenty of freedom for those little hands to figure it all out in their own way. And here’s the part I really love: their canvas comes along for the whole experience. As they move and explore, they’ll keep adding to it — a little color here, a pine-needle mark there, a leaf impression, a pinecone roll. Layer by layer, their morning becomes this completely one-of-a-kind piece of art. So when you leave, you’re not just taking home a toddler painting. You’re taking home a sensory canvas keepsake filled with their marks, their discoveries and this tiny little season of who they are right now. There’s no example to copy and no right way to make it. This one is all about creating, exploring, connecting with nature and doing it together.
